Welcome to the Herzstein Memorial Museum
Mission Statement The mission of the Union County Historical Society, a non-profit organization, is to preserve the cultural heritage of Union County. It shall maintain the Herzstein Memorial Museum, an institution devoted to the acquisition, care, interpretation and exhibit of artifacts and documents associated with the history of Union County and Northeastern New Mexico regions. Revised May 4, 2002 The Herzstein Memorial Museum is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, closed on Sundays & Mondays and major holidays, and by appointment, 505-374-2977 or 374-9639. Admission is free. Donations are accepted with gratitude. The Herzstein Memorial Museum has been certified by the Historic Trails Division of the National Parks Service as an official Santa Fe Trail Interpretive Center.
